Women woes
The number of crimes committed on the womenfolk goes out of hand. We generally make unnecessary comments about the character of the womenfolk, their dress sense and other activities. But women shoulder all the major responsibilities in the household and still attend office work also most efficiently to lead a decent living. We in India respect the ladies and treat them at par with men. This is a right step in the right direction. Women have contributed great things to the society in general and to their families in particular. They take care of the children from the womb till the time the children are mature enough. In some cases women back them even after marriage and take care of the grand children as well. They fight every inch to keep the family flag flying high. Men did make mistakes in understanding the women all the time. Mostly the relationship is just from one side. Men fail to understand the feeling of the weaker sex and that is the root cause for all the problems. Men make hey when the sun shines and never admit their mistakes. At the same time women forgive and forget the follies of the men.Women will have to deal with at least 3 types of men in their life. Some of the husbands are spendthrifts, some of them are drunkards and some them are womanisers. To come out of such a sensuous relationship is not an easy thing and still come out successful in life. It is a matter of adjustment in life and the will to lead a normal life despite all the odds needs a lots of grit and determination. Striking a balance in life and work for the welfare of the family is not a joke. Housewives are the masters in looking after old parents/in laws. Taking care of the elderly people is a herculean task and keep them happy will be women's dream job. The motherhood is a treasure to preserve. Let us not trouble the expected mothers and provide them nutritious food. In trains, the co-passengers should offer seat to the expected mothers and help them out in case of need. On the part of ladies they must take proper precautions. Instead of displaying their wealth by wearing jewels and show-off as in fashion parade they should maintain decorum and that will not give scope for problems in public life. If there is will there is a way also. Women have the will to keep the family flag flying all the time.It's mothers all the way.
Mumbai or Delhi incidents of mass raping opened up the Pandora's Box. Women are always considered sex symbol. They deserve better place in the society. These culprits deserve corporal punishments. I am apprehensive of the involvement of the sons/kins of the elite class and hence the inaction on the part of the police. Stern action should be initiated against all these good for nothing teenagers. Let this be recorded in the college records of the individuals involved so that their future be sealed all together.
1. Girls must learn Unarmed Combat and keep pepper spray.
2. Whenever Such Incidents Happen Do Intervene.
3. Any such Incident Must be surely not go unreported.
4. Visuals or Videos have been very Important in the Mumbai and Delhi Cases of rape. But just to bring the matter to light, they should not be shown on and on to survive like this and do more harm.
5. One should be sensitive while passing statements against women.
6. Physical abuse against a Man , Woman, Transgender, Child or Gay person, if seen by a witness, must be non-bailable offence.
7. Severe and punitive punishment for rape and eve teasing deserves life imprisonment.
