 Proved beyond doubt

It was proved beyond doubt that Mumbai Indian Champions League win was
a scripted one from the very day of the tournament. This is to give
Sachin Tendulkar parting gift. During the 2011 World Cup win, the
result of the final was foregone and for that win Sachin Tendulkar was
credited. Mumbai Indians was almost out of the reckoning and their
match at Ahemedabad was to be washed out in rain.  The organisers made
a scramble for centre and kept in Jaipur so that Mumbai can come up to
the knock out level and enter final also.  Other teams were not
enjoying this luxury and their matches were curtailed or interrupted
half way, thereby losing the chance of making an outright win.  Why
Mumbai Indians were given a special treatment? Other matches were
washed off in torrential rains whereas Mumbai side got a change of
venue to make sure they enter final of the tournament. So as per the
plan Mumbai Indians win and the rest is history. This reminds me of
World Cup win accomplished under similar circumstances. CL Trophy win
is one such drama.  How
long we play fixer's final?
Good news for Team India

As in the past we feel happy when a star player is not touring India.  As we all know Indian favourable pitch conditions, lopsided crowd support and home umpires all spoil the show in India during one day and T-20 Games. Captain Michael Clarke was Tuesday ruled out of Australia's one-day tour of India this month with his long-standing back problem needing further treatment. The star batsman was picked in the initial 14-man squad last month but the injury has failed to show as much progress as expected, with George Bailey assuming responsibilities as skipper. Australia are due to play a seven-game series in India, which will be coached by Steve Rixon. South Australia's Callum Ferguson has been called up to replace Clarke. Add to all that now even captain is missing and the Indian fans are cheered up not by the performance of the Home team but in the absence of a key player. In the past we felt happy when "Shane Bond is not touring India" or Dale Steyn not touring India.  Why we are worried about the opposition all the time instead of looking at our strong point. We have to play according to our strength and not look at the weakness of the oppostion. We are scared of defeat even in a home series   Australians will be put to test with tailor made wickets, shouting bad words by the crowd and a partial umpiring standard up to the third umpire.  Winning matches in India is not so easy under all these circumstances and it is a good news for team India before a being bowled in the series.
Ready for Records

Sachin has become a record master as he enter into record books time and again in his long and illustrious career. Sachin Tendulkar's 35 against Trinidad and Tobago during the CLT20 semi-final helped him reach yet another personal milestone. He became the first Indian and only the 16th player ever to score 50,000 runs in all recognized forms of cricket. It seems the records just keep piling up for the Little Master. In his career spanning over 23 years, Tendulkar has achieved immeasurable records in both Test and ODI cricket. We take a look at the most prominent ones.

Tendulkar now has 50009 runs in 953 competitive matches, which includes 551 List A matches, 307 First-class matches and 95 T20 games. Tendulkar has so far scored 25,228 runs in 307 First-class matches, including a staggering 15,837 runs in 198 Tests. The 40-year-old has 21,999 runs in 551 List A matches which includes 18,426 runs in 463 ODIs. Having scored 2747 in the 94 earlier T20 matches, the Master Blaster scored the necessary 26 runs with ease. Sachin Tendulkar has had an ordinary 2013 CLT20 tournament till the semifinals and could score only 20 runs in four matches with a highest score of only 15.  Sachin is also standing on the cusp of another rare feat of becoming the first player in the history of the game to play 200 Test matches, which in all likelihood will be completed in the upcoming two-Test series against the West Indies. Having created so many records in his 23 year old career starting from the 1989 Karachi Test, he can be called Sachhi Record Making Ramesh Tendulkar.
