It is indeed a festive season and Millennium Tower Club House attached to Millennium Towers Sector 9 Sanpada chose to Honour Millennium Star of the year and chose C.K. Subramaniam a freelance writer for the last forty years  as one of the recipients of the award in a glittering function in the Club House Lawns on Sunday in front of a capacity crowd.  Mr. Kurien Principal of DAV School presided over the function.  In the photo C.K. Subramaniam receives the award as a sports personality practicing cricket for the last 50 years.  He started his career as a 12 year old boy and still continue to don the gloves and play the game at the age of 62.  He hit a purple patch on an off the field as a cricketer, Cricket coach, Cricket Statisticians, Cricket Umpire (TNCA panel) and a freelance writer for the last 40 years.  His write up on cricket was published in all the magazines, newspapers, periodicals and news letters and he has made 30 albums of all his paper cuttings in a neat and clean manner. His write up on Ranji Final Cricket was published in The Cricketer International (London) and his statistics of Sir Donald Bradman was placed in the Brawl Museum Adelaide as a Record Browser for the visitors.  Again, he was regular writer for the Indian Cricket, published by The Hindu Madras for 7 successive years.  Now he is coaching boys in cricket in Sanpada for the last 2 years with great success. He is lovingly called Subramaniam of Sanpada for all the good work he has done to the society through his purposeful writing and helped to solve many social issues with his pen.  Pen is mightier than sword is true and C.K. Subramaniam did it in style with his versatile writings.
